A referral to the appropriate specialist is made based on the doctor’s assessment at the time of your
office visit.
How long will it take to get lab results?
1-2 days depending on the time of day your blood is drawn. In all cases you will be called about your results. Sometimes
it is necessary to discuss detailed results in the office. Never assume "No news is good news" when it comes to lab results.
If you haven't heard from our office within several days call the nurse for the results. Copies of your lab results are always
available to you.
If I have to be admitted to the hospital which one are you affiliated with?
Dr. Gruich conducts an ambulatory or walk-in clinic. If it is necessary to be hospitalized, hospital orders
are written and immediately faxed from our office to the hospital of your choice. While you are in the office,
Dr. Gruich personally calls and informs the doctor who will be caring for you in the hospital. You will be
admitted to the doctor of your choice on staff at the hospital. If you prefer, Dr. Gruich coordinates
hospital care with several local physicians and he can choose for you the doctor who will conduct and
coordinate your care in the hospital. When you are discharged, Dr. Gruich confers with the hospital doctor
who also forwards copies of medical reports for his review.

Immediately pick up the phone and call 911 for an ambulance. Or, if you are able and capable, proceed to the
nearest Emergency Room.

If you have BlueCross BlueShield, Select Administrative Services (SAS), Workmans' Comp, and Medicare, we will file your claim. If you have other commercial insurance we will file the claim on your behalf and you will be personally reimbursed per your policy by your insurance company which will forward the reimbursement directly to you.
